The new hockey season is almost upon us and with that the member sign-ups are open ! We've got some updates on what's new which we think are well worth taking a look at. Below are a couple of videos that expand on what we share here: you can see Tom Tyers talk about the coming Junior Season in conversation with our Chairman, Chris Vallis-Wilson and you can also see Tom discuss our new INDOOR PROGRAMME for Juniors with Ross Stott, our new Junior Indoor Director.

Some key highlights as we approach the 24-25 season:
> New Indoor Programme. Our indoor programme will begin in October and you can sign up HERE. As discussed in the video below, Ross Stott will lead the programme. Ross is one of the most decorated indoor players in the country, having won the Indoor National title 5 times as a player and twice as assistant coach with our Women's 1st Team and Girls U18 Team. We'll share more about this in a separate article, but watch the video to get a taste
> New Video Analysis. Video is crucial for learning in today's game. Equipment is being installed around our pitch to enable us to record ALL or ANY training sessions or matches for access afterwards by players and coaches. This is great for team and individual performance development and can also be used for GCSE Sport assessments. Again, we will share more about this in a separate article, but we expect the video setup to be live before the end of October assuming all goes to plan. We will ALSO have the same capabilities for Indoor, where video equipment will also be permanently mounted in our indoor hall
> Expanded Live-streaming. EGHC has the UK's largest and most watched Hockey Club YouTube Channel, but so far our streams have been limited to Mens and Womens 1st Teams and a handful of other matches. Once our video setup is completed in October, we will be looking to stream almost all matches - both adults AND Juniors - enabling friends and family who can't be present to enjoy the fun
> Enhanced Goalkeeper Programme. EGHC has an amazing goalkeeping pedigree, with at least 15 International goalkeepers having been members of EG over the tears. We're looking to build on this with a strengthened programme for goalkeepers to ensure they can develop their skills and enjoyment with specialist support
