A new series has begun on our YouTube Channel, featuring "greats" of hockey with EG connections. Click through for more...
In the last couple of weeks, we have launched a new feature on our YouTube Channel: "Hall of Fame". In this Playlist, we will be introducing video shorts in which past and present "greats" chat about their hockey career and their involvement with East Grinstead. The first series is live now and Richard Leman chats with Jason Lee about the beginings of EG's success with the Men and brings it right up to 2022 when Jason coached EG Women.
Richard Leman is a life long member of EG, and also a member of the Sports Club Trustee Group. He represented Great Britain at the LA and Seoul Olympics in 1984 and 1988, and played alongside Jason Lee in EG's Mens 1st team for a number of years. Jason began his topflight hockey career at EG in 1988, breaking into the England and GB setup almost immediately. He subsequently became GB Mens Head Coach, leading England Men to Euonations glory in 2009, and also coaching GB Men at the Beijing and London Olympics in 2008 and 2012. Jason also coached England and GB women as well as returning to EG to coach our Women's 1st Team during 200 to 2022.
Jason was an architect of the England Hockey single system and is good friend to us at EG
