EGHC Mascot Program - Huge Success!

The Mascot program is back for the 2024/25 season after a bumper first year! 

Launched in 2023, the Mascot Program was designed to foster a connection between young talents and our high-performing teams, providing an enriching experience for the next generation of athletes. 

Last year, the program saw an incredible response, with 102 children participating. These young mascots represented four different clubs and came from 15 schools across the county, highlighting the widespread enthusiasm and reach of the initiative.

Building on the success of last year, this year we introduced the Mascot Challenge, releasing a special badge for each double-header match. The challenge is designed to engage children even further, offering them a fun and rewarding way to participate in the program.

We have focused heavily on involving a greater number of schools, working hard to encourage them to come down and be part of the Mascot Challenge. Through this effort, we aim to inspire the next generation of hockey superstars, fostering their passion for the sport and creating a lasting connection with our performance team.

The essence of the Mascot Program continues to be about making our teams accessible, not just to East Grinstead, but to young athletes across the entire county. By bridging the gap between grassroots hockey and the professional level, we hope to ignite ambition and nurture future talent.
