The close of the 2023/2024 season saw East Grinsted bid farewell to a number of amazing players; some retiring and some progressing to University.  We're excited however that several former talents are returning to Saint Hill to continue their own East Grinstead journeys.

Mila Welch returns to East Grinstead, where she was a member prior to heading off to Nottingham University.  Mila has studied at Nottingham for four years including a year abroad and effectively "swaps places" with Issy Field in goal.  Issy heads off for Nottingham and her own adventure.  Mila has been a part of the Great Britain Elite Development Programme since 2019 and in February 2024 secured progression to the Senior GB programme.  During that time a highlight was winning a Bronze Medal at the U21 World Cup in 2022.

Rosie Hope returns to EG having graduated from Michigan University.  Prior to her studies, Rosie was part of the EG side that secured the England Indoor Premier League title in 2019 at the Copper Box.  While at University, Rosie followed in the footsteps of former East Grinstead Captain, Guadalupe Lacort as Captain of Michigan.  She has represented England at U18 and U21 level

Carlota Gomez returns to EG having graduated from University in Madrid.  Carlota previously played for East Grinstead in the 2022/2023 season in which she was part of a group that secured the England Hockey Premier League title for the first time, and also won the Eurohockey Indoor title in Chambrai.  Carlota has represented Spain at U21 level and competed in the Eurohockey League in April 2024 with Club de Camp Madrid.
