No side from the British Isles had won the title since England in 1994, and GB saw off the nine-time champions in an incredible final.
Goals from Alan Forsyth and David Goodfield put GB into an early lead before Eddie Ockenden pegged one back, but Ollie Willars was on hand to extend the lead once again.
Joshua Pollard and Dylan Wotherspoon netted either side of Goodfield's second goal of the game to make for a tense finale but GB held firm to ensure a memorable victory.

The boys played brilliantly today and they should be proud of themselves. A real sense of team spirit emerged, and both teams showed good tactical awareness, great passing and creation of chances as well as scoring a respectable number of goals !
The Mystic team won the tournament, winning all seven games and concerning only one goal over the whole tournament to our very own Instinct Team !
The Instinct Team also played fabulously, finishing a worthy 3rd. They only lost two matches; one to Mystic and one to the team that came second to Eastbourne 1s.
