As with our First Team Playing Squads we are beginning an initiative to introduce our Vice Presidents. The EGHC VP's are past and present club members who have made profound contributions to the club over a sustained period. To kick this series off, we would like to introduce Roger Dakin.

EGHC Mens' 1st Team completed their pre-season programme with a 6:1 win against Brighton on Tuesday evening. Head Coach Glenn Kirkham was faced with the first tough decision in his new role, to select a squad of 16 having worked with an exciting and diverse squad of approaching 30 players during pre-season.
Like the men, our Ladies' 1st Team spent the weekend at Lee Valley, and with a squad including many 2nd team players, secured three wins from three against some strong opposition...
EGHC Men's 1st Team pre-season activities and at full speed with a number of younger players making debuts as well as Glenn Kirkham picking up Head Coach duties over the past week. During August the squad took part in the Tonbridge Nines tournament, last week a training match was held at Whitgift against Durham University and on Saturday September 2nd, the boys took on Canterbury in their first home match of the 2017 / 2018 season.
Wonderful news today for our Ladies' 1st Team Squad as Laura Unsworth commits to EG for the foreseeable future. Laura is one of England's most honoured players having been a part of he sides that won Bronze at London 2012 and Gold at Rio 2016 as well as Commonwealth Silver in Glasgow 2014, Euronations Gold in 2015 and just recently Euronations Bronze 2017.
We are pleased to share the news that we have a new Club Kit supplier from today (September 1st, 2017). Our new kit supplier is Pro Shop Hockey and orders can be placed direct, online. Our kit manufacturer remains STX who have continued to evolve the designs and production of the kit they supply us through ProShopHockey.
This weekend sees EGHC hosting the annual Sebastian Wolff Festival. We welcome junior sides from EG, Rouen and Flotbeck to a weekend of fun and games including social events at the club. This Festival has been running for many, many years and has seen deep friendships formed, as well as numerous family connections.
