U14B Dev 1-8 Surbiton - Luka Jones

The U14 Dev B team, comprised entirely of U12's continued their league campaign this weekend, sustaining a 8-1 defeat. Although this wasn't the result they were aiming for there were many positives to take home. Chris Stevens put in an amazing performance as goalie, surely saving 20 or more shots on goal and saving the team from a considerably more dramatic score line. The team showed a huge amount of spirit and tenacity, with strong defensive skills in evidence, Harry Thomas and Arthur Thilo putting in performances particularly worthy of mention. The midfield and forwards put in sustained effort throughout the match, with a number of good shots on target being saved by the formidable defence of the Surbiton team. Given that some of the lads on the opposing team were practically double the height of some of our smaller players and mostly had a couple of years on our guys, they should be proud of the performance they put in. Onwards and upwards :)
