Saturday 2nd March sees Reading's second visit to EG this season and in fact will be the third match between the two sides. Back in Phase I, EG travelled to Reading and a strong performance saw them take a two goal lead. However play was abandoned just before the fourth quarter was started due to pitch flooding. England Hockey ruled that the match should be re-played at East Grinstead and the two sides were rewarded with equally wet weather conditions and a game that completed in horrendous conditions. That match resulted in a 3:2 win for EG and effectively secured the points. Reading now return to EG for the Phase II match and will be looking for points to help secure their place in the division for next season, while EG will be looking to do that same.
