John Seear

John-Seear

We are sad to announce the death of John Seear...

It is with great sadness that we have to report the death of John Seear.

One of the true gentleman of the game, John bought his charismatic charm to every game and his signature cigar for afters. John had a love for vintage cars and his teams looked forward to seeing which one he would turn up at the club in, Buttercup being the best known and distinctive.

John joined EGHC in the late 90's and was part of a very successful masters team winning numerous league and cup titles for the club. As well as playing in the men's 4's with his son John Jr.

In later years John was instrumental in setting up England masters which has been growing in strength in recent years. With his last game playing for England Over 80's against the Dutch and scoring the winning goal.

John will be sorely missed by those that were fortunate to know him and we send our condolences to family, Elaine, John and Amanda and grandchildren.

A celebration of his life is yet to be confirmed but we will post once we get full details.
