Half Season Update on Juniors

U6s

Its several seasons since we last introduced this age group to hockey. It has been fantastic and energetic start to the season, and a real privilege to introduce these little troublemakers to our amazing sport. Tom Tyers makes these training sessions incredibly fun and engaging for all!

U8s

With well over three dozen U8s signed up, our coaches certainly have their hands full on Sunday mornings! We recently had three teams represent us at Reigate, and what brilliant representatives they were, playing some great hockey with great results to show for it. Managed by the amazing Rebecca Redfearn, it has been incredibly rewarding to see so many juniors enjoying their hockey.

U10 Boys

Competing in the Surrey and Sussex leagues, we have been very fortunate to field multiple teams in both Tier 1 and Tier 2 hockey. Both teams have made brilliant strides, with our Tier 1 team getting positive and competitive results against Surrey clubs, and showing dominant displays within Sussex. Our Tier 2 teams are already making brilliant progress which is now producing results at fixtures on a Sunday. Fergus, Tom and Mike have loved coaching this group.

U10 Girls

You will not find a more infectious group of energy within Sussex. Putting out multiple teams in Tier 1 and Tier 2 within Surrey and Sussex, these girls bundle of energy is resulting in their excellent progress so far this season. They are a joy to coach, turning up in great numbers every Wednesday/ Sunday no matter the conditions. With the Tier 1 girls being led by Premier League and EG legend, Ross Stott, on match days, and the Tier 2 to be led by club legend, Max Hassam, we can't wait to see the progress these girls make after Christmas!

U12 Boys

One of our largest age groups, regularly fielding four teams across Sussex and Surrey with two in Tier 1 and two in Tier 2. The Tier 1 teams have competed well in Surrey, getting great results against top clubs. They also finished 5thout of 8 at the Indoor Hockey UK tournament in October, and won an Invitational tournament at Whitgift against Londin clubs. The Tier 2 players are regularly getting positive results and the coaches have been very impressed by their commitment and attitude to training. This age group is showing great focus at training and we are excited to see how they do after Christmas led by a great coaching and managerial team!

U12 Girls

What an incredible trajectory this age-group has been on in the space of a year. They are now regularly fielding three teams, with two in Tier 1 and one in Tier 2. The Tier 1 team is unbeaten this season across Sussex and Surrey, regularly producing dominant displays against top teams. These girls won the Indoor Hockey UK tournament in October against 7 other clubs, and a U11 tournament at Guildford. The Tier 2 squad is making pleasing progress, improving week on week with their infectious smiles to match, they all played a key role in the U11 Guildford tournament! All in all we are very excited to see how these girls do post-Christmas!
