Ross Stott to head up Junior Indoor Programme at EGHC

Indoor-Programme--1

New Junior Indoor Programme coming for 2024/2025 season...

As many will know we will be starting our Indoor program from next season, inspired by the club's long tradition as well as the recent successes of our Women's 1's and our U18 Girls who both claimed the national title this season.

We are excited to be able to share with you the details of the program and also to announce that our own Ross Stott has accepted to head up the program and to put together our own EGHC Indoor Hockey Syllabus.

The program will be included in the membership for the U8's. It serves as an assurance that even if the weather turns truly autumnal, hockey can still continue, and also as a great way to have fun and learn additional skills.

For the U10 – U18's the program runs in addition to the regular membership. We will have 12 weekday training sessions and one tournament at the EGSC Sports Hall with teams from the area. In addition, we will enter several tournaments, including regional championships with an aim to qualify for the nationals and the K2 tournament in Crawley which has teams from across England represented. Please note that, as hall space is limited, we have to limit the number of players per gender by age group.

We are very pleased that Ross Stott has accepted to head up the Indoor Program and build an EGHC Indoor Hockey syllabus. Ross has played in our Men's First Team for many years and his Indoor credentials are substantial. He has played in 8 Super Sixes, 8 European Club Championships and was the assistant coach this season when our Womens 1st team won the Indoor Championship. Furthermore, he has earnt 124 caps, played at several Commonwealth Games as well as a numerous European Tournaments both Indoor and Outdoor.

If you share our excitement, then please be reminded that we still run our 'Early Bird' offer until 1 July. We hope to see many of you in the hall next season.

Regards,
