Our Under 18 Girls took home the title of National Indoor Champions in a brilliant display of determination and quality at the Derby Arena.

They secured top spot in Pool A, scoring eleven goals and conceding zero goals on their way to a semi final match up against Wimbledon.

The girls got off to a brilliant start in the semi final, going 4-0 up in 10 minutes - going on to win 6-3 in a ruthless display of hockey.

The final pitted the EGHockey girls against Repton. In a tight and tense affair, our opponents sat back in an attempt to neutralise the EG attack. It took until the 17th minute to break the deadlock with the goal coming from Lettie Hughes, and this goal proved to be the winner!

This meant our girls became National Indoor Champions for 2026, with Lilian De Bruin (GK) and the girls only conceding three goals in the entire tournament.

Captain Biba Mills, who finished as the tournaments top goal scorer with 9 to her name, lifted the trophy to the delight of the EGHC supporters who had made the long journey up to Derby. All our girls have taken part in our indoor programme for many months of training, and it's amazing to see the hard work pay off!

Well done to all the players and coaching staff. What a fantastic achievement!
