On Saturday 6th October the Men's 1st XI will welcome the Premier Division Champions, Surbiton to Saint Hill. In this fixture last year, the score was 2-2 going into the final minutes of the game, but in the 65th minute, Surbiton's goal machine (Alan Forsyth) scored a screamer to take all 3 points for Surbiton. EG and Surbiton have great rivalry with games always being feisty, of a high quality and of a high tempo. The Men's 1st XI will be looking to build from the first few games and will be hoping they can beat the reigning champions. Surbiton enjoyed a very successful campaign last year coming 2nd in the league and winning the Play-Offs. They will be the team all the clubs want to beat due to their success, but they do not only have great players but a great coach in the form of EG Legend Mark Pearn, who enjoyed great success in his first couple of seasons of coaching from the sidelines, he will be hoping his side will be able to take the points away from home. One player who will play a big part in the game for Surbiton will be their star man up front, Alan Forsyth. He has one the golden stick in the Premier Division in the past three seasons and scored the winner against EG in this fixture last year.

Pushback will be at 6pm. Home matches are ticketed for adults and U18s go free. There will be a 10 minute Half-Time break in which kids are encouraged to use the pitch to practice and shoot at goal. The supporters are encouraged to ask their favourite players for their autographs after the match as they are leaving the pitch. We would like to wish all supporters a warm welcome at Saint Hill and hope you enjoy the match!
